Our Story

When Ryan watched The Soccer Tournament (TST) 2023, he saw a missing piece: “We need a Caribbean team,” he thought. Ryan approached Shane with this idea, and they began envisioning a squad that would showcase the vibrant talent of the region. They wanted to create a platform for Caribbean players, who often don’t get the opportunity to shine on the global stage. At the heart of their vision was the belief that football should unite people, spreading positive vibes and providing an inclusive experience for all. The Reggae Rovers dream was born.

Ryan and Shane leveraged their connections to recruit top players, contacting friends and former national team members from Trinidad and Tobago and Jamaica. They even sent cold DMs to prospective players over IG, tapping into a reservoir of hidden talent. They knew the Caribbean was brimming with skilled players who needed a chance to be seen.
As the Reggae Rovers stepped onto the field at TST 2024, they were a team largely unknown to the world. But it was their passion, fun play style, and immense heart that quickly won over the crowd, creating a cult following. Their journey, which began with humble beginnings, surpassed everyone’s expectations. Their unity and spirit were nothing short of magical. The Reggae Rovers’ early success at TST, reaching the quarter-finals, was a testament to the resilience and determination of Caribbean players on a global stage. 

Now, with our sights set on the upcoming competition, the Reggae Rovers family is determined to build on our current momentum. We are all hungry and inspired to return to TST and compete in more tournaments. The future is bright!
