John-Paul Rochford (born 2000) is a Trinidadian football player who plays the 10, 7, 11 and 8 positions and is dominant with both feet. He brings skill, professionalism and positivity to the Reggae Rovers, always leading with gratitude.
Youth Career
2006- 2015: John-Paul Rochford started his football journey with 1st FC Santa Rosa in Trinidad and Tobago as an amateur.
John-Paul attended Queens Royal College in Trinidad and Tobago from 2014 to 2018.
2015-2018: He then moved to North East Stars, also in Trinidad and Tobago, where he played.
2018-2019: He joined the Portland Timbers in Portland, Oregon.
Professional Club Career
2019-2022: Returning to Trinidad and Tobago, he played for AC Port-Of-Spain (formerly known as North East Stars).
2022: He moved to the USA to play for Sure Sports FC (UPSL).
2023- Present: He returned to AC Port-Of-Spain, where he continues to play professionally.
International Career
John-Paul has represented Trinidad and Tobago at various levels. He played for the Trinidad and Tobago U17 and U20 National Teams from 2014 to 2020. Since 2019, he has been a member of the Trinidad and Tobago Senior National Team, earning 12 caps so far.
Honors
Attended the Manchester Experience via the Digicel Kick Start program and trained with the Manchester City Academy.
Awarded Sportsman of the Year and Most Valuable Player for Queen’s Royal College.
Awarded First Citizens Sports (FCB) Junior Player of the Year for Football.
Named to Trinidad and Tobago’s National U17 Men’s Team at age 14 for the 2014 CFU and 2015 Concacaf World Cup qualifiers.
Captained Trinidad and Tobago’s National U17 Men’s Team at age 16 in the 2016 CFU qualifiers.
Captained Trinidad and Tobago’s National U20 Men’s Team at age 18 in the 2018 Concacaf World Cup Qualifiers.
Captained Trinidad and Tobago’s National U20 Men’s Team at age 18 in the U-23 Central American and Caribbean Games in Barranquilla, Colombia.
Named to Trinidad and Tobago Premier Football League’s Team of the Season for 2022-2023.
Part of the Trinidad and Tobago Premier Football League Champions team for the 2023-2024 season.
