Matthew Woo Ling is a two-footed professional and national team football player from Trinidad & Tobago who plays as a central and defensive midfielder. He is enthusiastic, self-disciplined, and committed to working with team players and coaches to achieve maximum results on and off the field.

Matthew sustained an injury at TST, so we missed him on the pitch after the first games. We look forward to his strong return for TST 2025. He plays for his Premier League Club and National Team in Trinidad and Tobago.

Career History

2024: Trinidad & Tobago

▪ Represented Trinidad and Tobago against Guyana in two international friendlies (8 international caps).

▪ Competed with Defence Force FC in the Trinidad and Tobago Premier Football League, finishing in third place and qualifying for the Caribbean Cup.

▪ Champions of The First Citizens Knockout Cup with Defence Force FC.

2023: Jamaica

▪ Represented Trinidad and Tobago against Jamaica in two international friendlies (six international caps).

2022: Iceland

▪ Represented Trinidad and Tobago against Bolivia in an international friendly (four international caps).

▪ Represented Dalvik Reynir in Iceland.

▪ Helped Dalvik Reynir finish in second place and gain promotion to the second division with ten assists and two goals.

2020 – 2021: Florida, USA

▪ Represented Trinidad and Tobago against the USA in an international friendly (three international caps).

▪ Won the NPSL, NSL, and PASL championships with Miami United FC.

▪ State champions of the NSL with Miami United FC.

2019 – 2020: Trinidad & Tobago

▪ Made senior national debut against Anguilla and assisted with two goals.

▪ Played against Ecuador (two international caps).

▪ Competed in the Trinidad and Tobago Pro League 2019/2020 season with AC Port of Spain.

2018 – 2019: Malta

▪ Competed in the Maltese BOV Premier League in the 2018/2019 season with St. Andrews Luxol. Finished with three goals and three assists.

2017: Atlanta, USA

▪ Competed in the PDL with Peachtree City Moba, finished with the most assists

2016: Belgium

▪ Trials at Kv Oostende with the reserve team

▪ Invited back at Kv Oostende first team pre-season; played four games (one goal and two assists)

▪ Played and trained with Krc Genk

▪ Played for Krc Genk first team against PSV Eindhoven.

2015-2013: Trinidad and Tobago

▪ Represented Trinidad and Tobago in the U20 Concacaf World Cup qualifiers, Jamaica

▪ Represented Trinidad and Tobago in the U20 Caribbean Football Union (CFU) qualifiers

▪ Represented Trinidad and Tobago in the Concacaf U17 World Cup qualifiers, Panama

▪ Represented Trinidad and Tobago in the U17’s Pre-Concacaf camp in Costa Rica.

2012: Trinidad and Tobago/ England / Italy

▪ Represented Trinidad and Tobago’s national team in the U17 Football Cali Tournament, Columbia—Chosen as best player on the team.

▪ Represented Trinidad and Tobago’s national team in the U17’s Caribbean Football Union (CFU) qualifications

▪ Trinidad and Tobago won the group and qualified for the Concacaf U17 tournament.
