Sean McFarlane (born 1993) is a Jamaican professional footballer who plays primarily as a defender. Currently, he coaches club soccer, plays with StreetFC, and runs a holistic coaching business called Mindful Athletics that focuses on the entire athlete, including their mental game. He is also a Garden of Life-sponsored athlete.
McFarlane was born in Kingston, Jamaica. He played college soccer at Saint Leo University, where he made 23 appearances and scored four goals, and at Florida International University (FIU), where he made 31 appearances and scored four goals.
professional Club Career
2012: McFarlane began his senior career with Chattanooga FC in the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL).
2016: He played for Tampa Bay Rowdies 2 in the NPSL, making four appearances.
2017: McFarlane signed with United Soccer League (USL) side Colorado Springs Switchbacks, where he made 29 appearances and scored two goals.
2018: He joined Miami FC 2 in the NPSL, making 12 appearances and scoring one goal.
2019β2020: McFarlane signed with USL Championship side Austin Bold, making 46 appearances and scoring four goals over two seasons.
2021β2022: He signed with Miami FC, making 27 appearances and scoring one goal.
2022: McFarlane was loaned to FC Tulsa, where he made 14 appearances.
2024: McFarlane joined the inaugural Reggae Rovers roster as captain and led the team to the round of 16 at the second annual TST.
International Career
McFarlane has represented Jamaica at the Under-20 and Under-23 levels.
